Singapore Institute of Management

The Singapore Institute of Management, or SIM, is the largest and most comprehensive solutions provider of private tertiary and professional training in Singapore. It was formed on 28 November 1964 as a not-for-profit membership institution, under the Economic Development Board, with the mission of developing Singapore's human resource.

As a membership society, SIM caters to the diverse and lifelong learning needs of its members, from young school leavers to mid-career professionals and to matured talent seeking self-actualization.  The membership platform extends the learning beyond formal classroom lectures to networking sessions through which real life insights and experiences are shared and exchanged.

Since then, SIM has helped to educate, train and develop Singapore's human resources in line with the nation's development towards becoming an innovation-driven economy of the future.

SIM Global Education (SIM GE) offers high-quality overseas degree programs through its partnerships with established international universities and institutions from the US, UK, Australia and Switzerland. The diverse suite of more than 50 full-time as well as part-time programs at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels makes it one of the largest and most comprehensive private education and training institutions in Singapore. The current enrolment size of over 18,000 students includes a growing pool of international students from 40 countries the world over.

SIM GE is one of four core businesses under the SIM Group, which includes SIM University (UniSIM), SIM Professional Development and SIM Membership Services. With 46 years of history, the leverage is on the resources of the related entities and the strength of their global network with reputable universities to provide leading edge education, in a learning environment, that gives students plenty of exposure to the business world.

Together with the IAS, SIM GE’s has supported the Congress by strongly engaging its 18,000-student population in preparations, publicity and awareness of the Congress among key faculties and the general body worldwide about the role of marketing and advertising in their future careers.
