What this course is about
The IAS Communication Channel Planning course has been designed to provide a holistic view of the media scene and offers a good balance between theory and practical planning. With increasing media fragmentation.
The course aims to cover the different aspects of Communication Channel planning and all there is to know about media as a communication channel. They will learn how media is more than just TV, radio and print. Technology has brought about so many changes and made the world a smaller place, such that understanding this environment is crucial for any professional with an interest in the communication field.
Participants have an opportunity to learn from top media professionals from the industry. They get to hear real-life experiences and case studies from media professionals and practitioners.

Course Details
The IAS Media Planning course comprises of seven (7) evening sessions (7 – 10 p.m.) held once a week. The programme syllabus comprises of the following topics:
- The changing face of media - media dynamics and changes in landscape including new emerging communication channels
- The study of consumers and how they consume media - the varied ways we can study consumers and how they consume varied channels
- Measurement in media - covering all means of measuring consumer contact with communication touch points and its limitations
- The new digital age - how it touches lives and how it has changed lives with a few ways to evaluate it
- The new age of partnership with the client - changing rules of the marketing and media industry and how one engages the other
- Content development and beyond - new rules of engagement which need to work and how to make it touch the consumers life
- Retail environment - point of sale and its importance in this new age
