GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PROFESSIONAL ADVERTISING
The Graduate Diploma in Professional Advertising is a brand new course offered by the Institute of Advertising (IAS) and International Advertising Association (IAA), Singapore Chapter.
This programme is in conjunction with the Talent Draft Initiative chaired by Mr Sorab Mistry (McCann Erickson) and the Chairman for the IAA, Singapore Chapter. This programme has been specially developed to prepare graduates and industry players to meet the demands of the fast paced creative fields within the advertising industry. The curriculum, developed by Mr Sorab Mistry and his team, is based on a very successful programme by the Canadian Advertising Industry. The curriculum will be mostly delivered by senior executives from the participating companies of the Talent Draft Initiative and also other Advertising and Media agencies and organizations.
Course Details:
The Graduate Diploma in Professional Advertising consists of 13 modules. All modules will be completed within a time frame of 312 hours with a minimum of 24 hours allocated for each module in the following order:
- Advertising in the Real World (delivered by DDB)
- Marketing (delivered by M1)
- Account Management (delivered by McCann Erickson)
- Strategic Planning (delivered by Mindshare and Zenith Media)
- Idea Concept & Campaign Planning (delivered by Crush Advertising)
- Marketing Analytics (delivered by Mindshare ATG)
- Integrated marketing Communications (delivered by Ogilvy & Mather)
- Digital Communication Channels / Digital marketing (delivered by Ogilvy & Mather)
- Diversified Services (delivered by Mindshare)
- Finance Immersions (delivered by Jil Khoo)
- Becoming Professionals (delivered by Foo & Pullen)
- Immersions (jointly delivered by Microsoft, Clear Channel, MediaCorp and IMSG)
- Final Paper (delivered by DDB)
Mode of Delivery for each module:
- 12 hours of lectures and 12 hours of project work.
- 3 hours lecture per week with a total of 4 weeks lectures.
- Assignments at the end of each 3 hours session / Project Work for every module
Entrance Requirements.
Students must meet one of the following pre-requisites:
- A 3 years Bachelor degree from a recognised Institution
