Singapore International Advertising Congress 2009 (SIAC 2009)
Overview
The SIAC is a one-day event, comprising a keynote and master class, as well as six sessions of presentations covering major categories.
The SIAC has three major advantages over the normal type of show that was held in past years to present the Effie Awards.
The Keynote Speech and MasterClass will be followed with Pecha Kucha style presentations by 36 Effie finalists demonstrating why their campaigns were considered worthy of consideration for Gold, Silver or Bronze awards.
As the presentations will be according to the category of the entry, it will give attendees a very broad appreciation of the level of work done for campaigns for the Singapore market.
The Pecka Kucha presentations will have 3 stages: a video presentation of up to four minutes required by all Effie entrants.
The oral presentation for the remaining six minutes for the ad agency to draw attention to significant points in the campaign, and finally interaction with the audience to answer their questions and observations. All these will take only twenty minutes for each presentation.
The Pecha Kucha presentation answers the questions often asked after an award is given out – “Why was that campaign chosen as the winner?”
